Antigen Long Description: The original antibody was generated by immunizing CB6 f1 mice with human RANKL protein.
Buffer Composition: PBS only.
Uniprot Accession No.: O14788
Specificity Statement: The antibody is specific for human-RANK-L. RANKL is a tumor necrosis factor related protein that binds to, and activates, the TNF receptor related protein Receptor Activator of NF-kB (RANK). RANKL acts as the key cytokine that regulates osteoclast differentiation and activation during normal bone remodeling and during disease
Application Notes (Clone): The specificity of the original format of the antibody was confirmed by ELISA analysis (IC50 = 2 nM). The original format of the antibody blocked the maturation of cells treated with sRANKL, the antibody specifically inhibits the functional activity of RANKL induction of dendritic cells maturation. The original format of the antibody promoted the inhibition of human sRANKL-stimulated bone marrow murine osteoclastogenesis in cell culture. These results showed that the original format of the antibody is a potent inhibitor of the interaction between human RANKL and its receptor RANK (US20030215450A1).
