CloneID: 6E6
Antigen Long Description: The original antibody was generated by immunizing 6 week-old-female BALB/c mice with 50 μg of purified PEDV emulsified in complete Freund's adjuvant.
Origin Pub PMID: 23600505
Buffer Composition: PBS only.
Chimeric Use Statement: This chimeric rabbit antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgG2b format for improved compatibility with existing reagents assays and techniques.
Uniprot Accession No.: Q91AV1
Specificity Statement: This antibody binds a linear epitope between amino acids 756 SGSIGYVPLQDGQVKI 771 of the spike protein of porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV). S1 region attaches the virion to the cell membrane by interacting with host ANPEP/aminopeptidase N, initiating the infection. PEDV, a member of the genus Alphacoronavirus in the family Coronaviridae, causes acute diarrhea and/or vomiting, dehydration and high mortality in neonatal piglets.
Application Notes (Clone): The binding characterization of this antibody to PEDV spike protein linear epitope 'SGSIGYVPLQDGQVKI' was done using ELISA and western blot. This antibody also bound a peptide having amino acids sequence 'LQDGQVKI' in an ELISA (PMID: 18400422).
