CloneID: 3A10
Antigen Long Description: The original antibody was generated by immunizing BALB/c mice with inactivated SFTS virus antigen. The inactivated virus was obtained by inoculating Vero E6 cells with SFTS virus and culturing the cells for 5-7 days at RT. Later one the cells were treated with Binary Ethylenimine (BEI) to inactivate the virus.
Buffer Composition: PBS only.
Specificity Statement: This antibody binds the severe fever and thrombocytopenic syndrome virus and does not cross react with any other arthropod-borne phleboviruses. Severe Fever with Thrombocytopenia Syndrome (SFTS) is an emerging infectious disease caused by the SFTS virus which is transmitted to humans through the bite of an infected tick. Most patients have symptoms such as fever, low platelet count and leukopenia, and may also have symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, muscle pain, lymphatic enlargement, and bleeding. Recently, first case of human-to-human transmission of SFTS virus was reported in Japan.
Application Notes (Clone): This antibody can be used for the detection of SFTS virus in an ELISA. This antibody also be used as a detection antibody in combination with another antibody 2D10 (capture antibody) for detecting SFTS virus in a sandwich ELISA (KR102652753).
