Antigen Long Description: A scFv antibody phage display library was constructed from peripheral blood lymphocytes of piglets infected with TGEV. The library was screened with four rounds of biopanning using purifed TGEV antigen, and scFv antibodies that bound to TGEV were obtained.

Specificity Statement: The antibody is specific for the S protein of TGEV. The antibody does not show any cross-reactivity with other available porcine pathogens, such as PEDV, PRRSV, PCV2.
Application Notes (Clone): To determine whether scFv antibody neutralized TGEV infection, a PRN assay was performed. The results showed that the antibody signifcantly inhibited TGEV infection in a dose-dependent manner and completely neutralized virus replication at a dilution of 1:80. Therefore the antibody showed a neutralization effect on TGEV infection. The specificity of the scFv format of the antibody was confirmed by ELISA analysis. The antibody detected the S protein by western blot analysis. IFA results showed that the antibody bound to ST TGEV-infected cells and to TGEV S protein-transfected cells (Zhang et al., 2019; PMID: 30729994).
