Application: Useful for studying expression of human T-cell receptor gamma/delta on the cell surface by flow cytometry.

Assay Conditions: One million Untransduced Gamma Delta T- cells (BPS Bioscience #82496) were blocked and stained with 1 µg of Anti-TCR γδ1 (gamma delta 1) Antibody, PE-Labeled (BPS Bioscience #102706) or PE Human IgG1 Isotype Ctrl Recombinant Antibody (BioLegend #403503) for 30 minutes on ice, washed three times, and analyzed by flow cytometry. Non-lymphoid cells were excluded from the analysis based on side scatter and forward scatter signals. Y-axis is the cell count. X-axis is PE intensity.

Background: T- cell receptors (TCRs) are crucial components of the adaptive immune system, enabling T cells to recognize and respond to antigens. While most T cells express the αβ TCR, a smaller subset expresses the γδ TCR. The γδ1 T cell subset is a population of γδ T cells characterized by the expression of the Vδ1 T cell receptor chain. These cells are predominantly found in epithelial tissues, such as the gut and skin, where they play key roles in mucosal immunity, tissue homeostasis, and tumor surveillance. Unlike the more common Vδ2 subset in peripheral blood, Vδ1 T cells respond to stress-induced ligands rather than phosphoantigens, enabling them to recognize a broad range of infected or transformed cells in an MHC-independent manner. Their unique antigen recognition and cytotoxic capabilities make them promising candidates for cancer immunotherapy.

Clone Number: Monoclonal

Cross Reactivity: This antibody recognizes the human T-cell receptor gamma/delta (TCR γδ). It has not been tested in other species.

Description: This Anti-TCR γδ1 antibody is a purified monospecific antibody, which is labeled with R-Phycoerythrin (PE). This antibody has been tested by flow cytometry for binding to human T- cell receptor (TCR) gamma delta-1 (γδ1) expressed on the surface of Untransduced Gamma Delta T Cells (δ1) (#82496).  FluoSite™ is a tag-based method for site-specific conjugation of antibodies with fluorophores, ensuring the labeling site is far from the antigen-binding domain to preserve antibody functionality. This precise, consistent labeling ensures the homogeneity of the labeled antibody preparation, making it ideal for flow cytometry and other high-sensitivity applications.
