Buffer Composition: PBS with 0.02% Proclin 300.

Chimeric Use Statement: This chimeric mouse antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Human IgG format for improved compatibility with existing reagents assays and techniques.

Available Custom Conjugation Options: AP, HRP, Fluorescein, APC, PE, Biotin Type A, Biotin Type B, Streptavidin, FluoroProbes 647H, Atto488, APC/Cy7, PE/Cy7

Uniprot Accession No.: P14336

Specificity Statement: This antibody binds a conserved epitope near the lateral ridge of EDIII adjoining the EDI–EDIII hinge region of the E protein (EDIII) of TBEV. The antibody recognises three subtypes of TBEV EDIII: Western European (TBEVWE), Far Eastern (TBEVFE), and Siberian (TBEVSi). The antibody cross reacts with other tick-borne flaviviruses, including Langat, louping ill, Omsk hemorrhagic fever and Kyasanur forest disease.

Application Notes (Clone): The specificity of the original format of the antibody was confirmed by ELISA analysis. The antibody showed neutralizing activity against TBEV RVPs authentic TBEV (IC50= 67 ng/ml). Immunofluorescence was performed on PS cells using this antibody. Prophylaxis experiments in BALB/c mice infected with TBEV showed the antibody was efficacious in prevention and early treatment of the infection. The crystal structure of the Fab fragment in complex with the EDIII domains was determined (Agudelo et al. 2021; PMID: 33831141).
