CloneID: 447-D
Antigen Long Description: The original antibody was generated by fusing Epstein-Barr virus-transformed peripheral blood mononuclear cells from two separate HIV-seropositive individuals and screening against a 23-amino acid synthetic peptide (YNKRKRIHIGPGRAFYTTKNIIG) representing the gp120 V3 loop of the MN strain (V3MN) of HIV-1.
Buffer Composition: PBS only.
Uniprot Accession No.: P05877
Specificity Statement: This antibody is specific for the GPXR sequence of the gp120 V3 loop of HIV-1.
Application Notes (Clone): The original version of this antibody (human IgG3) was characterized for its specificity and reactivity using ELISA. It reacted with the V3 of HIV strains MN, SF-2, HXB2, RF, WM52, NY5, SC, and CDC4 with an affinity (Kd) of 0.56 µM, 0.9 µM, and 24.0 µM for MN, SF-2, and HXB2, respectively, and it reacted with the rgp120 of strains SF-2, HXB2 with an affinity of 0.01 µM and 3.9 µM. In an in vitro neutralization of HIV infectivity assay, this antibody achieved a geometric mean of neutralization endpoint [µg/ml] of 1.29 for HIVIIIB, 0.37 for HIVMN, 0.15 for HIVAL-1, 0.04 for HIVSF-2, 0.62 for HIVDU6587-5, 1.35 for HIVWMJ-2, 0.78 for HIVDU7887-7, 0.62 for HIVRF, and 1.98 for HIVSF-162 (US5914109A).
