Specificity Statement: This antibody is specific for keratin with an increased affinity for native keratin over sulfur mustard-exposed (SM-exposed) keratin.
Application Notes (Clone): The binding characteristics of this antibody were observed in an ELISA and immunoslotblot (ISB) assay. Increased exposure levels of keratin resulted in a decreased emission, indicating decreased stability of the antibody-keratin interactio; the formation of adducts or crosslinks disrupts effective antibody binding (Bikker et al., 2007; PMID: 17539823).
