Uniprot Accession No.: P24043; Q60675
Specificity Statement: This antibody recognizes human and mouse laminin 211 LG5 domain. Laminin is a large extracellular heterotrimeric glycoprotein and a major constituent of the basement membrane. It is thought to mediate the attachment, migration and organization of cells into tissues during embryonic development by interacting with other extracellular matrix components. Laminin-211 (formerly named merosin) is the most abundant laminin isoform in the basement membrane of adult skeletal muscle. Laminin-211 deficiency leads to the most common form of congenital muscular dystrophy in childhood, MDC1A.
Application Notes (Clone): The binding specificity of this antibody to human and mouse laminin 211 LG5 expressed on the surface of CHO cells was confirmed using ELISA and flow cytometry. The binding affinity of the original VHH antibody to human beta dystroglycan was determined to be 68 pM. This antibody was used in combination with anti-beta dystroglycan antibody P38G1 for the generation of a bispecific antibody (CN113651891).
