Specificity Statement: This antibody is specific for the P1.4 subtype antigen (HVVVNNKVATH) of serogroup B of Neisseria meningitidis.
Application Notes (Clone): This antibody was used for the identification of PorA subtypes P1.4 using western blot. Antigenicity of the P1.4 epitope of PorA P1.7-2,4 in outer membrane vesicles and liposomes was tested by an inhibition ELISA (PMID: 14741154). This antibody is also reported to be highly bactericidal and was used as a positive control in a serum bactericidal assay (PMID: 14741154).
