Chimeric Use Statement: This chimeric human antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgG1 format for improved compatibility with existing reagents assays and techniques.

Uniprot Accession No.: Q92673

Specificity Statement: This antibody binds the Vps10p domain of the human sortilin-related receptor. Sortilin-related receptor 1 (SORL1) encodes a large, multi-domain containing, membrane-bound receptor involved in endosomal sorting of proteins between the trans-Golgi network, endosomes and the plasma membrane. The sorting of proteins is essential for normal cell function and defects in these pathways are thought to be important factors in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease (AD).

Application Notes (Clone): This antibody can be used for the identification of sortilin-related receptor. A fragmented version of this antibody was used in crystallizing a protein (US10513562).
