CloneID: ATR-5
Antigen Long Description: The original antibody was generated by immunizing 5 weeks old male BALB/c mice subcutaneously into the abdomen with purified human tissue factor in equal quantity of Freund's complete adjuvant.
Buffer Composition: PBS with 0.02% Proclin 300.
Available Custom Conjugation Options: AP, HRP, Fluorescein, APC, PE, Biotin Type A, Biotin Type B, Streptavidin, FluoroProbes 647H, Atto488, APC/Cy7, PE/Cy7
Uniprot Accession No.: P13726
Specificity Statement: This antibody binds human tissue factor (TF) a hemostatic protein which is involved in the extrinsic pathway of coagulation. TF is receptor for circulating serine protease factor VIIa, activating the catalytic VIIa protease domain. The complex formed functions to activate the zymogen factor X into activated factor Xa, which then catalyzes the formation of Prothrombin to Thrombin. The pathways results in a fibrin clot which acts to stop bleeding. TF plays a role in normal hemostasis by initiating the cell-surface assembly and propagation of the coagulation protease cascade.
Application Notes (Clone): The binding of this antibody to human tissue factor expressed on the surface of human bladder carcinoma cells J82 was done using whole cell ELISA. This neutralizing activity of this antibody against the FX-binding was measured using the human placenta-derived thromboplastin. This antibody was also capable of inhibiting plasma coagulation (US6677436).
