Antigen Long Description: Recombinant human VEGF.
Origin Pub PMID: 9377574
Buffer Composition: PBS with 0.02% Proclin 300.
Chimeric Use Statement: This chimeric human antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original mouse IgG1 format for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques.
Available Custom Conjugation Options: AP, HRP, Fluorescein, APC, PE, Biotin Type A, Biotin Type B, Streptavidin, FluoroProbes 647H, Atto488, APC/Cy7, PE/Cy7
Uniprot Accession No.: P15692
Specificity Statement: Binds native and reduced human VEGF (isoform 165), with a Kd of 0.8 nm determined for the original clone.
Application Notes (Clone): This is the parental antibody clone to the humanized, therapeutic antibody Bevacizumab (marketed as Avastin) binding to VEGF. VEGF is a growth factor active in angiogenesis, vasculogenesis and endothelial cell growth. It induces endothelial cell proliferation, promotes cell migration, inhibits apoptosis and induces permeabilization of blood vessels.
