PoieticsTM Normal Human Bone Marrow Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells (hMSC) are isolated from normal (non-diabetic) adult human bone marrow withdrawn from bilateral punctures of the posterior iliac crests of normal volunteers. Normal Human Bone Marrow Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells (hMSC) have been reported to differentiate down many different lineages including chondrogenic, osteogenic, adipogenic and neural. Normal Human Bone Marrow Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells (hMSC) have been cryopreserved after the second passage and are suggested to be used by no later than the fifth passage. Cryopreserved PoieticsTM Normal Human Bone Marrow Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells (hMSC) are guaranteed to have at least 0.75 million viable cells per vial, differentiate down the adipogenic, chondrogenic, and osteogenic liniages when cultured in the recommended differentiation medium, to express CD29, CD44, CD105, and CD166 and to not express CD14, CD34, and CD45. All lots of this product manufactured after January 1, 2015 are also guaranteed to express CD90 and CD73 and to not express HLA-DR or CD19.
All cells test negative for mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast, and fungi. HIV-1, hepatitis B and hepatitis C are not detected for all donors and/or cell lots. A Certificate of Analysis is provided for each cell lot purchased.  Lonza guarantees the performance of CloneticsTM/PoieticsTM cells only if appropriate CloneticsTM/PoieticsTM media and reagents are used exclusively and the recommended storage and use protocols are followed. Any modifications made to the recommended cell systems including the use of alternative media, reagents or protocols, will void cell and media performance guarantees.
