Research Donors is an HTA licensed company specialising in the collection of fresh human blood samples for research purposes. Based in London, Research Donors collects, processes and tests fresh human blood, derivatives and leukapheresis samples, which can be delivered the day after collection.
Where do the samples come from? A large, diverse pool of healthy, paid volunteers who have signed a comprehensive consent form allowing the samples to be used in a wide range of research applications, including commercial research and genetic testing research, forms the basis. All samples are tested for a range of infectious diseases prior to release.
Research Donors can offer specific procedures tailored to the individual client's sample collection and processing requirements, with the aim of meeting the client's exact needs
Researchers have access to fresh human whole blood for research purposes. With collections based on each researchers’ specific needs, the choice of volume, anticoagulant, shipment temperature and blood group is yours.
We provide researchers with access to fresh, healthy human buffy coats from our supplier Research Donors. The buffy coats are prepared according to each researcher's exact requirements, with delivery on the next day after collection, offering access to human buffy coats whenever your research demands.
Furthermore, we have fresh and frozen peripheral mononuclear blood cells (PBMC) in our range. The PBMCs are processed within 5 hours of blood collection for minimal degradation, with HLA typing available on request.
Our supplier provides fresh human leukopaks that can be delivered on the next day after collection.
Research Donors also has fresh and frozen human plasma in its product range. The fresh and frozen human plasma is collected and prepared to each researchers exact needs, with a choice of volume, anticoagulant, storage device and shipment temperature. The frozen plasma stock inventory offers a cost effective option for human plasma and gives researchers access to search the frozen plasma stock in real time.
As well as plasma, we can offer human serum with the same choices through Research Donors.
In cooperation with our supplier, we can supply fresh human erythrocytes. Fresh human red blood cells are prepared according to each researchers' exact needs, with a choice of volume, anticoagulant, storage device and shipment temperature.
The product range of frozen human blood products includes frozen peripheral mononuclear blood cells (PBMC), frozen plasma and frozen serum. The frozen human PBMCs are isolated and frozen within 5 hours of collection to ensure minimal degradation and maintain high post-thaw viability, whilst frozen plasma and frozen serum offer a cost-effective option for obtaining high quality human plasma and human serum samples.
