Corning offers all classic media such as DMEM, RPMI, etc., some of them as powders. These products are supplemented by various additives, antibiotics, buffers and the like. Lonza's product range also includes special media from BioWhittaker such as serum and protein-free media.
Lonza is known for the so-called BulletKits. Basal media and additives such as growth factors are available here. The growth factors mentioned are typically packaged in small vials and are called SingleQuots. If these are mixed into a basal medium, one speaks of a complete medium.
Corning offers high quality sera to complement their extensive range of plastic consumables. These sera are produced according to industry standards and USP methods. The sera are collected in the United States and in USDA certified plants.
