Vasculitis

Wegener's granulomatosis (WG) is very closely related to the anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA). Especially those which are directed against proteinase 3 (PR3). ANCAs directed against myeloperoxidase (MPO) are associated with microscopic polyangiitis (MPA) and Churg-Strauss syndrome.

PR3-ANCA-associated vasculitis differs from the MPO-ANCA associated vasculitis by the occurrence of granulomatous inflammation.

Autoimmune liver disease

  • Smooth muscles (SMA)
  • Actin epitopes
  • Liver-kidney microsomes (anti-LKM1)
  • Liver-pancreas-specific or soluble liver antigen (Anti-LP/SLA).

The increased IgG level in the serum is also typical for AIH.
