Microbiological Safety Cabinets Class 2

User protection

Class 2 safety cabinets provide effective user protection by creating a barrier between the work area and the environment. The air in the work area is purified by a HEPA or ULPA filter to minimise the spread of biological particles.

Laminar airflow

Laminar airflow refers to an evenly directed airflow across the entire width of the workbench work surface. This airflow is created by a HEPA or ULPA filter that cleans the air and directs it to the work area, preventing contamination of the sample.

Biological protection

These cabinets provide a high level of biological protection for the user and the environment. They are suitable for working with micro-organisms in  biosafety risk groups 1 to 3.
