ALKALINE PHOSPHATASE SUBSTRATES (AP SUBSTRATES)

In contrast to HRP-substrates, AP substrates are more diffused and translucent, but an AP-based system might be preferable in tissues with high endogenous peroxidase activity such as kidney, liver and tissues containing red blood cells. Our AP substrates from Vector are heat resistant, allow aqueous and non-aqueous mounting and several of them show fluorescence properties, enabling detection with fluorescent microscope.

Pic: Human prostate (FFPE serial sections) stained for cytokeratin (1:250), detected with ImmPRESS-AP anti-mouse IgG. The only variable reagent was the AP substrate.

Original HRP/AP substrates – well known for their consistency and reliability, more sensitive than conventional substrates

ImmPACT line of HRP/AP substrates – 2-4x more sensitive than original substrates
