Positive Control: The peptide used to generate this antibody is available for purchase (GTX89134-PEP).

Specificity/Sensitivity: This antibody is not expected to cross-react with other DGAT members.

Form: Liquid

Buffer (with preservative): TBS, 0.5% BSA, 0.02% Sodium azide.

Concentration: 0.50 mg/ml (Please refer to the vial label for the specific concentration.)

Background: This gene encodes one of two enzymes which catalyzes the final reaction in the synthesis of triglycerides in which diacylglycerol is covalently bound to long chain fatty acyl-CoAs. The encoded protein catalyzes this reaction at low concentrations of magnesium chloride while the other enzyme has high activity at high concentrations of magnesium chloride. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2011]

Uniprot ID: Q96PD7

Antigen Species: Human

Immunogen: Peptide with sequence C-KLEHPTQQDIDLYH, from the internal region (near the C Terminus) of the protein sequence according to NP_115953.2.

Purification: Purified by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography

Conjugation: Unconjugated

Full Name: diacylglycerol O-acyltransferase 2
