Background: A375 is a melanoma cell line isolated from a patient with malignant melanoma, that is used extensively in toxicology and oncology studies. They are hypotriploid and present an epithelial-like morphology. A375 cells form tumors when injected into immune-compromised mice, with high proliferation rate and invasiveness, and is useful for xenograft studies. It is widely used in mouse models of skin cancer. The presence of the luciferase reporter allows for easy assay readouts as luciferase activity is proportional to the number of cells.
Description: Firefly Luciferase A375 Cell Line is an A375 human melanoma cell line engineered to express Firefly luciferase driven by a CMV promoter. This cell line was generated by transduction with Firefly Luciferase Lentivirus (#79692-P).
Host Cell Line: A375 cells, human melanoma cell line, epithelial cells, adherent.
Mycoplasma Testing: The cell line has been screened to confirm the absence of Mycoplasma species.
