Due to the Immunis Sponsorship for Young Science, SZABO-SCANDIC and NGI (Next Generation Immunologists) are supporting young talents in their dissertations. Since its start in 2021, four researchers have already been sponsored with cash and non-cash prizes. The next application period begins on November 11, 2023. Immunis Sponsorship for Young Science 2023/24

Who can participate?

  1. You are a PhD student in human medicine, veterinary medicine, biology, bioinformatics, biotechnology or another life science subject?
  2. Your dissertation deals with a research question in the fields of immunology, allergology or vaccinology?
  3. You have started the dissertation after June 30, 2022?
  4. Your dissertation is supervised at an Austrian university?

Yes? Then you have already fulfilled all requirements for participation! We are looking forward to your submission.

 

The prizes

The Immunis is donated with cash and non-cash prizes worth a total of 7,500 euros. SZABO-SCANDIC awards a prize money of 1,500 euros and non-cash benefits worth 5,000 euros, such as cell culture and consumables, research products, antibodies or diagnostic kits, to the best project. The recognition prize is worth 1,000 euros.

 

Selection and jury

All submitted projects will be evaluated by an independent expert jury of the NGI, chaired by NGI President Katja Knapp. The two best works will be proposed for the Immunis. SZABO-SCANDIC awards the research sponsorship to these both.
