Accession: Q16665

Background: Functions as a master transcriptional regulator of the adaptive response to hypoxia.Under hypoxic conditions, activates the transcription of over 40 genes, including erythropoietin, glucose transporters, glycolytic enzymes, vascular endothelial growth factor, HILPDA, and other genes whose protein products increase oxygen delivery or facilitate metabolic adaptation to hypoxia.Plays an essential role in embryonic vascularization, tumor angiogenesis and pathophysiology of ischemic disease.Heterodimerizes with ARNT, heterodimer binds to core DNA sequence 5'-TACGTG-3' within the hypoxia response element (HRE) of target gene promoters.

Bio Acitivity: Not validated for activity

Sequence: Ser 576-Gln785

Purity: > 90% as determined by reducing SDS-PAGE.

Formulation: Lyophilized from sterile PBS, pH 7.4., 5% trehalose, 5% mannitol, 0.01% Tween 80.
Normally 5%-8% trehalose, mannitol and 0.01% Tween 80 are added as protectants before lyophilization.
Please refer to the specific buffer information in the printed manual.

Reconstitution: It is recommended that sterile water be added to the vial to prepare a stock solution of 0.5 mg/mL. Concentration is measured by UV-Vis.

Endotoxin: < 10 EU/mg of the protein as determined by the LAL method.

Calculated MW: 25.2 kDa

Observed MW: 26 kDa
