Specificity: Detects human VEGF. This non-therapeutic antibody uses the same sequence as the therapeutic antibody Aflibercept.
Purification method: This monoclonal antibody was purified using multi-step affinity chromatography methods such as Protein A or G depending on the species and isotype.
Background: Aflibercept biosimilar is a recombinant fusion protein consisting of portions of human VEGF receptors 1 and 2 extracellular domains fused to the Fc portion of human IgG1 formulated as an iso-osmotic solution for intravitreal administration. Aflibercept biosimilar is a dimeric glycoprotein with a protein molecular weight of 97 kilodaltons (kDa) and contains glycosylation, constituting an additional 15% of the total molecular mass, resulting in a total molecular weight of 115 kDa. Aflibercept biosimilar is produced in recombinant Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells.
Concentration: 1.0 - 5.0 mg/ml.
Formulation: Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) pH 7.2,with no carrier protein, potassium or preservatives added. BSA and Azide free.
Purity: >95% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC.
Endotoxin: ≤ 0.75 EU/mg as determined by the LAL method.
