Dietary administration of ethyl DGLA (1 g/kg per day for 25 days) increases prostaglandin E1 (PGE1; Item No. 13010 ) and PGE2 (Item No. 14010) secretion in rabbit renal papilla.{66219} Ethyl DGLA (1 g/kg per day) increases triglyceride levels and the proportion of 20:3ω6 and 20:4ω6 phospholipids of the renal medulla in rabbits. Formulations containing ethyl DGLA have been used in the treatment of eczema and inflammatory disorders.
