Notes: Sulfaethoxypyridazine is a sulfonamide antibiotic.{43301} It is active against several strains of E. coli isolated from necropsied animals or poultry when used at concentrations of 0.25 or 1 mg/ml. Prolonged administration of sulfaethoxypyridazine (150 mg/kg for 13-27 weeks) induces the formation of cataracts in dogs.{68910} Formulations containing sulfaethoxypyridazine have been used in the treatment of respiratory infections, foot rot, calf scours, and mastitis- or metritis-associated septicemia in cattle.
