External Cooperations at Szabo-Scandic

Pivotal Scientific Recommended Distributor

Pivotal Scientific has a database of over 500 life science companies specializing in research products & biochemicals, cell culture, consumables and laboratory equipment. Szabo-Scandic has been a preferred distributor for Austria since 2015 in all matters relating to the laboratory and research.

In order to simplify the search for a distributor in the respective country, Pivotal Scientific has set up an initiative with the "PSL Recommends" brand, which nominates one trading partner per country in the life science sector that meets the strict quality criteria.

 

BioNet

BioNet, Inc. was established in 1997 as a US subsidiary for a consortium of companies in Vienna, Austria. The company acts as an interface between Szabo-Scandic and the manufacturers from the USA and Canada. Among other things, BioNet organizes the product transport from various manufacturers to our logistics partner "Carmichael International" in Boston and procures important information, such as data sheets, about the products.

 

Biomed Austria

As a professional association, biomed austria represents the interests of biomedical analysts in Austria. One of the core tasks of biomed austria is to offer its professionals a quality-assured, cost-effective, technically differentiated and comprehensive training portfolio.

Since 2019, Szabo-Scandic has been organizing the symposium "Research Afternoon - Hot Trends in Science" together with biomed austria. Participants receive an introduction and an overview of current scientific topics and methods.

 

Next Generation Immunologists

The Next Generation Immunologists (NGI) are the junior organization of the Austrian Society for Allergology and Immunology (ÖGAI). Since 2019, the NGI has been organizing workshops, lectures and meetups to inform young scientists about processes and current topics in the scientific world.

Szabo-Scandic and the NGI are supporting young doctoral candidates with the Immunis Sponsorship for Young Science since 2021. The expert jury of the NGI nominates the two winning projects and Szabo-Scandic supports them with a generous research funding.
